Follow our quick and easy steps for great results and perfect curls in minutes

1

Start with dry, brushed hair

What to do:

Make sure your hair is fully dry. Brush out any tangles with a normal brush or comb. The GoCurl PRO works on dry hair only.

Why it matters:

Tangles can snag and slow you down. When you place a small section of hair into the barrel of the curler. Dry, smooth hair feeds in clean and curls evenly.

Pro tips:

Just washed? Let it air dry or blow-dry first. The GoCurl PRO is a curling tool, not a dryer. Hair should be 100% dry before use.

2

Pick your heat

What to do:

Power on: Press and hold the power button ⏻ (on/off button) for a few seconds to turn it on.

Pick your heat: Tap the button (+/-) to move through the six heat levels.

Why it matters:

Too much heat on fine hair is hard on it. Too little heat on thick hair means the curl drops fast. Match the heat to your hair type to give you the best curl with the least effort.

Pro tips:

Go Curl PRO heats up in about 60 seconds. Once temperature level stops flashing then you can start curling your hair

Not sure which to pick? Start at the lowest temperature, move up one temperature if you do not achieve the curl you want.

3

Apply our Shine and Shield Heat protectant spray for best results

What to do:

Spray a light mist over the ends of your hair. Let it dry for about 30 to 60 seconds and once your hair feels with is dry, start curling.

Why it matters:

The Heat Protectant Spray puts a barrier between the hot barrel and your hair. It also adds shine and helps reduce frizz. This step is key if you curl your hair often.

Pro tips:

Less is more. A heavy spray weighs hair down. Two or three light spritzes is plenty.

Charging note:

The GoCurl PRO charges over USB-C. Check the screen for the battery level before you start. One thing to know: DO NOT USE the GoCurl PRO while the unit is charging or plugged in. Charge it first, then unplug and curl.

You got this.

Start with Step 1. Each section takes only
a few seconds. A full head takes about
seven minutes.

Step 1

Feed in your first section

The Basic Curl

What to do:

Take a small section of hair, about 1/2 to 1" wide (depending on hair thickness).

If you have thick hair start with a 1/2" section. Hold it on a slight angle to the left or right of your head. Place the ends into the open part of the barrel. Press and hold START until the device stops curling.

The barrel will pull the hair in and curl it within seconds. Hold still and wait for the beep. Curler will beep 3 times, release the START button and slowly pull the unit away from your hair. And VOILA beautiful curls!

Why it matters:

Small sections curl evenly and feed in without snagging. The beep tells you the curl is set, so you never have to guess.

NOTE: DO NOT CURL THE SAME SECTION TWICE WHILE YOUR HAIR IS IN THE CHAMBER

Pro tips:

The amount of time chosen is what determines loose or tight curls. Push the button ⏻ on the right until the time appears on screen. 08 seconds will give you loose curls and 18 seconds is for tight curls. Press (+/-) button on the left to choose your number.

Push the start button (insert icon)
to select "L" for the left side of your head and "R" for the right side of your head.
(L or R appears in green at the to of
the screen).
Keep the section smooth and flat as it feeds in. A twisted section curls unevenly.

Pro tips:
For easier styling, use ½-inch sections and gently move each section away from your head before placing it into the barrel.
Step 3

Set and
shake out

Lock It In

What to do:

Let the curls cool for a minute without touching them. Once they are cool gently run your fingers through your hair. Shake them out for a softer, looser look.

Why it matters:
Curls set as they cool. Touching them too soon can loosen the curl. One minute of patience makes the curls last much longer.
Pro tips:
Want tight, defined curls? Leave them alone after they cool.
Want soft waves? Avoid using a comb, and run your fingers through your hair
For all-day hold, spray a little hairspray and leave them as they are.
Step 4

Quick
touch-ups

Last-Minute Save

What to do:

See a piece that fell flat or got missed? Feed that one section back in, wait for the beep, and slide out. No need to redo your whole head.

Why it matters:
The GoCurl PRO is fast enough for one-piece fixes. You can touch up a curl in seconds before you walk out the door, or later in the day.

Pro tips:

Keep the curler in your bag for touch-ups on the go, once it has cooled.
A single dropped curl takes about ten seconds to fix.

Something not right? There is a fix.

Find your issue below. Read the fix. You will be back on track.

Battery seems to run out fast

Why It happens:

Using the highest heat the whole time, or not charging fully before the first use.

Fix It:

Give it a full charge before your first session. Use the lowest heat that holds your curl. For optimal use, charge GoCurl PRO between each use.

The GoCurl PRO automatically shuts off in 60 seconds if not in use

Why It happens:

Low battery, or the auto shut-off has kicked in.

Fix It:

Check the screen for battery. Charge over USB-C. For your safety the GoCurl PRO comes equipped with an auto-shut off feature and will automatically shut off when not in use. Press the power button to turn it back on.

My hair got caught in the barrel

Why It happens:

If you feed too much hair into the chamber at once, it can catch and stop the barrel from turning.

Fix It:

Turn the unit off and gently remove the hair from the chamber. Then try again with a smaller, brushed, flat section. Half an inch or less feeds is best and keeps hair from catching.

The curl does not hold

Why It happens:

Heat too low for your hair, sections too big, or touching the curl before it cooled.

Fix It:

Move up one heat level. Use smaller sections. After each curl, let it cool for a full minute before you touch it. For extra hold, use hairspray once cool helps.

The curls look too tight, or not tight enough

Why It happens:

Section size and hold time change how the curl turns out.

Fix It:

If you want loose curls choose less seconds on the timer. 8 seconds for loose curls, 12 seconds for wavy curls and 18 seconds for the tightest curls.

It keeps talking and beeping

Why It happens:

The GoCurl PRO uses sound cues to guide you. It tells you the battery level, when a curl is done, and when it is about to shut off.

Fix It:

This is normal and means it is working. The unit will stop beeping once the curl is done.
